At its most basic, a pintxo is a small bite—but with a world of knowledge, tricks and tips behind its preparation. From the simple gilda, the city’s emblematic pintxo, to the elaborate creations that inspired by avant-garde cuisine, the world of pintxos is demystified and made easy and fun in our cooking school. Learn the basics and beyond in The Essential Pintxo class.
Finding (and eating) the best pintxos in town is a local sport, and in this class, home cooks learn how to replicate these sophisticated snacks at home. Let us guide you on a cooking journey through the recipes of the most famous streets and bars of San Sebastián’s Old Town, and learn how to replicate its most talked-about pintxos, from the shrimp kebab at Goiz Argi to the beef cheek at Borda Berri.
With the assistance of a professional cooking teacher, prepare a complete menu based on regional recipes- two main dishes and dessert, during a 2 and a half hours hands-on cooking class in English, followed by lunch based on the prepared dishes, accompanied by wine.
