We asked one of our VIP expert guides in Madrid to let us know from her view a recent walking tour of Madrid’s Old Town and Royal Palace with some of our clients. Here is her report back to us…
Amor’s Tour Notes:
Today I was with a very nice family from the USA. We had a morning very well spent…We strolled through the old Madrid. I showed them the most important streets of Madrid de las letras, the Monastery de las Trinitarias where they buried Cervantes and Calle Huertas with the Plaza de Santa Ana. They loved the architecture and the atmosphere.
Now on the Calle Alcalá they were surprised by the change in architecture and listened with great interest my explanations of the architecture, asking questions and participating in the conversation.
Then we went on to the Puerta del Sol, the Calle Arenal and after that passing by the Teatro Real (Royal Theatre)… finally arriving at the the Palacio Real (Royal Palace)! The visit of the palace was very interactive with questions and they visited the armoury of the palace as well.
As there was still a bit of time we went for a walk to then Plaza Mayor down the street of the same name. Ending our walking tour of Madrid I showed to them a good place to eat and how to return to their hotel.
They let me take their picture with the family all together and they said they would look out for it on EATour Specialist website!
It was a very pleasant morning!
